The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 kicked off last week with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chepauk Stadium. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently revealed the schedule for the remaining matches of the tournament’s second half. The matches for the IPL will be played across two cities. Ahmedabad will see the first Qualifier and Eliminator on May 21st and 22nd, respectively. Then, Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium will host the second Qualifier on May 24th, leading up to the championship match on May 26th.

At first, due to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, only the first two weeks of matches (until April 7th) were announced by the Indian cricket board. Now, with the official polling dates confirmed by the Election Commission, the BCCI has finalized the remaining schedule in collaboration with local authorities.
Delhi Capitals have chosen to host their remaining home games in the second IPL phase at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, their home ground, after playing their first two matches in Visakhapatnam.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings, who started their season at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, will wrap up their home leg at the picturesque Dharamsala Stadium. This scenic venue will host two exciting matches for them – against the Chennai Super Kings on May 5th and the Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 9th.
The Rajasthan Royals have chosen Guwahati as a second home ground, where they’ll play their final two IPL matches this season. On May 15th, they’ll host the Punjab Kings, followed by the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 19th. This Kolkata match will also be the final game of the regular season for the 17th edition of the IPL.
